In the older days, in the blacksmith’s shop, the bars and sheets made from solid steel (steel ingots) had been cut by manually using chisel and hammer at the hot condition. After that, the bars, sheets, and the structural materials cut at the cool condition with the help of two hardened steel pieces and a hammer.

After the inventions of thin cutting blades with the hardened tooth, and the pressurized gas flame, the rods, bars, flats, tubes, structural steel materials, and plates made from ferrous, and nonferrous cut with the help of hand hacksaw, power hacksaw, band hacksaw, and gas cutting plant.

Previously, all the types of fabrication and the structural works carried out in the appropriate shop floors. After the industrial revolution, due to the development of multi-track roads, multi-story buildings, reservoirs, dams, and factories, more than 50% of the fabrication and structural works started in the real sites so that, a huge amount of money for transport saved and the time to complete the project tremendously reduced.
