The word pneuma means air, and the technology invented based on the air, termed as pneumatics and, the system termed as the pneumatic system. The pneumatic systems are similar to hydraulic systems but in pneumatic system compressible gas such as air and inert gases used in the place of incompressible fluids such as water and oil.

Pneuma is one of the fluid mechanics working, based on the principle of Pascal’s Law states that P1=P2 that is F1/A1 = F2/A2 where the letter “P” denotes pressure, “F” denotes force and “A” denotes Area. Pneumatic power is one of the mechanical powers developed through the compressed air between the interconnections by the external source like an air compressor.

The pneumatic system or power pack is the compact system, fitted with different components, such as reciprocating pump, electrical motor, electromagnetic valves, filter, strainer, manifold, the reservoir filled with compressed air, pressure gauge, indicator, etcetera, in order used to develop the power and to transfer same from the source to mechanical actuator.

The pneumatic cylinder is the mechanical actuator or linear pneumatic motor that gives the unidirectional and bidirectional force through the unidirectional stroke and bidirectional stroke. Generally, the pneumatic cylinder made up of seven main components that are cylinder barrel, cylinder cap, cylinder head, piston, piston rod, seal gland, and seals.

Depends on the function, the pneumatic cylinder also made up of different parts, known as assemblies, such as cylinder base connections, cushions, cylinder head caps, butt plates, eye brackets or clevis brackets, alignment coupler, head glands, internal threaded ductile heads, poly pack pistons, etcetera.

There are five types of pneumatic cylinders termed in the name of single acting cylinders, double acting cylinders, tie rod cylinders, welded rod cylinders and, telescopic cylinders. The pneumatic cylinders, specified with physical parameters such as stroke length, rated load or force, operating pressure, bore size, shaft diameter, operating temperature, cylinder configuration, cylinder action, body material, mounting options, cylinder style, and features.

Generally, the production facilities such as pressure die casting machine, well equipped, conventional machine shop with material handling equipment, non-conventional tool room, external grinding machine, internal grinding machine, honing machine, electro plating plant, TIG & MIG welding plants, inspection facilities, testing facilities, etcetera are required to manufacture pneumatic cylinders and assemblies.

The use of the pneumatic cylinders and assemblies are in countless and versatile. They are used in various industrial, medical, automation applications such as pneumatic operated robotics, systems, machines, devices, tools, medical equipment, material handling equipment, etcetera.

Although, the pneumatic cylinders and assemblies manufactured by many renowned industries, introducing modern technologies and production facilities, still there are some gaps, in the way to increase the efficiency, quantity, quality and to reduce the product cost, found, further to be filled.

All the four gaps can fill through controlling different inputs and wastages, reduce the number of processes and increase the purity, overall quality and plant efficiency by this way of introducing improved versions of production technologies, and manufacturing facilities.

VEL CONSULTANCY and the group of VEL CONSULTANCY feels proud to inform that since 1998, as per client’s requirement, we are providing topnotch quality of technical services and supports under one roof, comparably at a lower budget. We have improved versions of production technologies and designs for the production facilities suit to manufacture wide ranges of Pneumatic Cylinders and Assemblies in the way to meet the global market strategies, expecting more opportunities to serve the best.
